Sep. 18 Parade for Peace

Come! Join the Parade for Peace!

Come and join in the parade for peace that will take place on Sunday, September 21. Please gather with us at 1:45 PM. The parade will begin at 2:00 from St. Raphael's Cathedral parking lot, west of the church, and will proceed down Third St., over the viaduct, then past the museum, on to the River Walk and will end at the Alliant Amphitheater where a prayer service for peace will be held.

Why parade for peace? Your participation will express your solidarity with fellow citizens of the Dubuque area in their efforts to promote a culture of peace in our homes, our neighborhoods, our communities, our nation and the world. The parade for peace and the prayer service for peace will be small steps in building a more peaceful world. We join our efforts with those of many other people throughout the world that will celebrate the 2011 International Day of Peace on September 21.
